On Dec 4th I had the pleasure of attending and presenting at the Humanity plus summit at Caltech on the future of the Biopharmaceutical industry looking forward at the technologies that will likely be changing the face of medicine in 2020.

The talks are now online and my specific talk focused both on the developing medical technologies (regenerative medicine, 3D bioprinters and targeted therapies) as well as the emerging commercial realities (a move away from small molecule blockbusters and the emergence of the E7 block of countries as healthcare powerhouses). If you’re interested, please feel free to check it out here (my talk starts at 1.35) and share your thoughts below!

There were of course a fantastic array of speakers on various future forward topics which included:

Session 1, Re-Imagining Humans: Mind, Media and Methods

Session 2, Radically Increasing the Human Healthspan

Session 3, Redefining Intelligence: Artificial Intelligence, Intelligence Enhancement and Substrate-Independent Minds

Session 4, Business and Economy in the Era of Radical Technomorphosis

Humanity + is an organization built and run by technologists and entrepreneurs to help continuing to push the bounderies of science and technology. If you’d like to find out more, please feel free to swing by the H+ website.
